Privacy and cookie choices

Updated October 1, 2026. GearOK requires no account. Browsing, analytics and advertising services may process IP address, device and browser information, visit times, visited pages, referrers, interactions and cookie identifiers.

Purpose and Google services

We use information to identify errors, improve usability, measure visits, prevent misuse, provide contextual or personalised advertising and handle inquiries. Google Analytics measures visits; Google AdSense serves ads. Google Forms inquiries are stored in private Google Sheets and may include your product details, message and optional email.

How Google uses information from partner sites. You can change personalisation through Google ad settings.

Microsoft Clarity

Clarity processes page interactions through heatmaps and session replay to find usability problems. Manual monitor inputs, detected display labels and result areas are masked in code. Fixed catalog identifiers may be included in Google Analytics events. Free-form model names and entered specifications are not included in decision-feedback events.

Clarity advertising storage is always denied. Without a valid saved permission, Clarity analytics cookies are denied; limited cookieless page analytics can still be collected. Allowing analytics cookies connects visits across pages. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.

Your choice and withdrawal

Use “Analytics cookie settings” in the footer to reject or allow Clarity analytics cookies. The choice is stored in this browser for 180 days; this is not the lifetime of Clarity cookies. Rejection sends a denial signal immediately. Closing preserves your choice and does not grant permission on a first visit. This choice affects only Clarity, not Google Analytics or advertising settings.

You can delete or block cookies in browser settings. The core checker remains usable, although analytics and advertising features may be limited.

Retention and inquiries

Google and Microsoft determine retention and deletion of automatically collected information under their policies and service settings. Inquiry content and optional email are kept privately as needed to respond and follow up, then deleted when unnecessary, subject to applicable retention obligations.

We update this page when the service or policy changes. Privacy requests can be sent through the form on the Korean contact page. The Korean privacy policy describes the full Korean service.
